Weekend!eeeeee:):):)

Weekend!The word by itself brings a colgate smile in my face :)
A break from the otherwise busy running schedules!
Did I say break?Wait..I am wrong!It is a break from the weekly schedule but definitely not a break from the weekend schedules :)


My major part of the time during weekend is spent in scrubbing the floor,cleaning the toilets,washing the clothes,pulling out the clothes from my wardrobe,wonder why I have accumulated so much,scold myself for spending enough on the clothes,take an oath not to get any in near future(promises are always broken you see,ahem),arrange the clothes,do activities with my kid,try out new dishes,visit temple...When I complete all these,it would already be Sunday evening and Monday blues would start to creep in slowly!


Today being a Saturday,I got up  little late..Shhh..Don't ask me the timings please..Cleaned my wardrobe..Saw a basket full of mangoes and immediately tried my hand in mango pappad...It is now drying upstairs...Result would be updated soon!


After doing with mango pappad,I tried my hands in mango milkshake and mango jam!Mango milkshake tasted super yummy!The jam is just cooling and would try to use it in a day and so please await for the results as well!:)


Coming to the recent movies,"Sachin a billion dreams movie" is released and I am just waiting to watch it!Please do expect a review from me about the movie!

Hello there,


Where and how do I start?Let me start by the conventional method of introduction!


I am Poorani!I earn my bread and butter from information and technology industry!I am one amongst the many women who play the role of a daughter,sister,wife,daughter-in-law,a working mom,friend etc..


I love cooking...My maternal granny was a great cook..My mom and mother-in-law are also veteran in cooking!My mom is a specialist in authentic dishes and my MIL is an expert in contemporary dishes!And so I get a chance to learn from both!My proficiency is good with sweets(atleast so far)...Though  I try more of authentic and conventional dishes,I would like to try my hands in other dishes as well..I do own a cookery blog as well(which is dormant for now).


Crafts interests me big time!I spend/would love to spend my time,by doing mom and kid activities with my 5 year old little munchkin!I like Montessori principles!Neither I have any knowledge in Montessori nor my son goes to a Montessori school..But that does not hamper us from trying Montessori learnings a bit :)I post our activities in my fb page..Would post all that here as well..I relive my childhood days and learn truck loads now!All thanks to my boy!


Trichy is where I hail, but now I am a pukka Chennai vaasi ..I love to explore every nook and corner of the city.I can shop for hours in pantheon road or pondy bazaar,would love to chill out at besant nagar or namma Marina,Love doing a  weekly visit to the temples or hog on the eateries etc...So you can expect me to post articles about namma Chennai too :)




And did I say it?I am a big time foodie!No,I don't hog on and on,but love to explore pure vegetarian restaurants to satiate my hunger pangs :)This implicitly says,I do write restaurant reviews too :)
